A big hello to the great people from BC, Canada who are checking in on the blog. At Pastor's camp in BC this year, I got to know better David Solmes who is the Assistant Superintendent of the BC & Yukon District.
One late evening after coffee we got talking about missional living in context of smaller, solo church pastor setting. I was so impressed with his passion for people like you and me. He even set up a time so I could hang out with some of their people and we had an 1.5 hour visit during a long lunch break. It was great time of sharing vision, ideas as well as encouraging each other. Men and Women who are all in similar pastoral situations, be called to stand together and be proud that God has called us to make MAJOR kingdom impact wherever we are. We are in the vast majority of churches in the PAOC... most people over look us because we are smaller and smaller, even in our christian denominations, is seen as less important in the kingdom of God.
I have a vision to change that to all of our solo led churches are once again on the front edge of what God is doing. DO NOT FORGET... God chose David, the guy that no one even bothered to invite to come to the job interview, as His next KING... God greatly uses people that no one knows, in places that no one has heard of.... to revel His Glory...
